Dance In The Graveyards
When I die
I don’t want to rest in peace
I want to dance in joy
I want to dance in the graveyards, the graveyards
And while I’m alive
I don’t want to be alone
Mourning the ones who came before
I want to dance with them some more
Let’s dance in the graveyards
Gloria, like some other name we kept on calling ya and waiting for change
But I belong to all of your mysteries
And all of us, we’re meant for the fire, but we keep rising up and walking the wires
So when we go below don’t lose us in mourning
’Cause when I die
I don’t want to rest in peace
I want to dance in joy
I want to dance in the graveyards, the graveyards
And while I’m alive
I don’t want to be alone
Mourning the ones who came before
I want to dance with them some more
Let’s dance in the graveyards
Oh my love, don’t cry when I’m gone
I will lift you up, the air in your lungs
And when you reach for me, we’ll dance in the darkness
And we will walk beyond
Our daughters and sons, they will carry on
Like when we were young, and we will stand beside and breathe in their new life
’Cause when I die
I don’t want to rest in peace
I want to dance in joy
I want to dance in the graveyards, the graveyards
And while I’m alive
I don’t want to be alone
Mourning the ones who came before
I want to dance with them some more
Let’s dance in the graveyards
When I die

To all those who have gone
To all those who have gone before, and those who will come after. I'll see you in that clearing where the path ends. And what stories we will have to share......
My parents passed away almost
My parents passed away almost 8 years ago. I teach a class called YogaDance and I've come to believe that my parents dance with me in every class. The video for Dance in the Graveyards made me weep with joy and gratitude. I thought, "So nice to know other people feel it too - the presence of loved ones, the Presence of God." I'll be adding this song to the playlist of my next dance class. When I introduce it, I will ask my students to dance in invitation to loved ones who've passed on & ancestors who watch over, to future loves & current sweeties, to children who will mourn us in time and the children who have yet to arrive. This song feels like connection - a link to the other side, to my parents, to life everlasting. Thank you so much! Oh, and I'll be checking you out when you come to Philly!
I also agree you are the best
I also agree you are the best new band in ages. I'm a Concert buyer and have contacted Jordan to try to get you to RI.
See you in Cambridge.
a friend turned me onto the
a friend turned me onto the video Bottom of the River and I was hooked. It was in deep after seeing this video.
This has to be one of the best new bands in a long long time. I had almost lost faith in new music with the pablum and auto tuned dreck that is pushed out today.
THANK YOU DELTA RAE FOR RESTORING MY FAITH IN MUSIC
I stumbled upon this group
I stumbled upon this group through Amazon - they were giving away their song "Bottom of the River" for free. After I listened to the sample I said why not? The best decision I have made in a long time! This group is incredible and this song touches my soul and brings my Mother's memory into sharp focus once again. The video brings life to the lyrics and drives the message home. The harmony of this group is simply Angelic yet powerful and versatile as evidenced in this debut album.
Such a magnificent video --
Such a magnificent video -- really drives home the message of the song. Thank you!
Thia is one of the most
Thia is one of the most important groups to come up in years. Listen to them and support them. They have that certain something that rarely comes around.
